Service Operations Director

Description

FKA is seeking a full-time Service Operations Director in Edmonton to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of agency work across creative and media teams.

The Service Operations Director plays a key role in ensuring production work moves efficiently through the agency by aligning project timelines, team capacity, and production requirements across internal teams and external vendors. This role works closely with Client Services, Design, and Media teams to coordinate internal and external resources, maintain project momentum, and support production processes from initiation through delivery.

This position is responsible for agency-wide resourcing, ensuring project teams are appropriately staffed, timelines are realistic, and capacity gaps are proactively addressed before they impact delivery.

As Service Operations Director, you will:


  • Lead the assignment of work across Creative and Design teams in partnership with departmental VPs, based on project timelines and available capacity
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors on integrated campaigns and
  • production projects
  • Ensure project teams have clarity on deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines
  • Lead or work closely with the Client Service team members to develop and maintain project timelines, scopes, and project estimates
  • Support video and audio production logistics, scheduling, and coordination
  • Lead in identifying and sourcing vendors in partnership with the creative and design team to support project needs
  • Proactively and regularly monitor agency-wide capacity and identify resourcing gaps
  • Coordinate contractor sourcing or internal reallocation to help address capacity needs
  • Improve production workflows and trafficking processes over time
  • Oversee  Service Delivery Managers to ensure work is appropriately resourced across the Creative team in alignment with project timelines and priorities

Candidates should possess:


  • 5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or production management roles
  • Demonstrated experience in managing integrated advertising campaigns that include production of television, radio, printed materials, digital assets, and others
  • Experience supporting the execution of digital campaigns or production projects
  • Proven ability to manage timelines and coordinate multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working with resourcing workflows or project management systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear, practical communication skills and sound judgment
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities

Assets include:


  • Experience coordinating large-scale video or audio production
  • Experience working with external vendors or contractors
  • Experience supporting digital advertising or content production projects

Work arrangement


This role is based in downtown Edmonton and follows a hybrid work model, with three days per week in the office.

Compensation


The salary range for this position is $91,700 to $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
